PRODUCTION PROCESS

The implemented modern computer system comprises the whole development of a product - the idea (dimensions, material, quality requirements); the production of the casting tools with CAD/CAM/CAE systems; evaluation of the technologies, selection of the optimal production process and the production of the casting tools. The project and the production of the casting tools is being done entirely in the factory.

Sand cores production facility
ALUCOM AD has machines for the production of sand cores following the "Hot Box"- and "Cold Box"-methods.

Melting shop
The melting shop is equiped with 7 induction furnaces AEG - Elotherm and a gas reverse furnace Modell 1103 with a holding capacity of 3600 kg and melting capacity of 680 kg/h.

Casting methods
- Gas counter-pressure and low-pressure casting
- High-pressure die-casting

Casting machines
There is a casting unit with 33 machines for gas counter-pressure and low-pressure casting and 12 machines for high-pressure casting.

Machining shop
ALUCOM AD has machining centres and other machines for complete machining of the aluminum castings.

Heat Treatment
ALUCOM AD has a tunnel furnace EBNER for heat treatment of aluminum parts.

Shot Blasting
ALUCOM AD has an automatic shot blasting machine produced by CM Sandblasting Equipment, model Monorail Automatic 1 with dimensions of the chamber 800/800/800 mm.

Vibratory Finishing
ALUCOM AD has a machine for vibratory finishing produced by company ROESLER.

Galvanizing
There is a mechanized line for preliminary preparation of the parts - degreasing, deoxidising.
Line for zinc plating with two options - colour and colourless zinc plating.

Painting Shop
Powder Painting
ALUCOM AD has two chambers for powder painting with painting installations for electrostatic applying of the paint (powder), produced by company ITW Gema.

Laboratory for Spectral Analysis
There is an analytical spectral apparatus Spectrolab with 32 lines.

X-ray Control
ALUCOM AD has one stationary X-ray unit for intrascope control.
